Cheese Fondue

Gather a few friends around the table for a delicious, creamy experience. Spear cubes of baguette, swirl in golden bubbling cheese and let the chase begin!


prep time: 20 minutes, serves 6

1 clove garlic, cut in half
1 1/2 cups dry white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1 tbsp. Kirsch
1/2 pound Gruyere cheese, shredded
1/2 pound Emmenthaler cheese, shredded
Fondue set for 6 people

Rub the insides of a heavy saucepan with the garlic clove. Add wine and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Mix cornstarch and Kirsch together in a small bowl. Slowly add the cheese, stirring to melt into the wine. Add the cornstarch and Kirsch mixture and stir until bubbling and thickened (about 5 to 7 minutes). Pour into a heated fondue pot. Spear, dip, swirl and enjoy!
