Serve with chips, or get creative on grilled chicken, scrambled eggs, burgers or sandwiches.
3 ripe organic avocados, peeled and pitted
Juice of 1 organic lime
1 medium ripe tomato, diced (optional)
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/2 tsp. minced garlic
4 dashes of your favourite hot sauce
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/2 tsp. sugar
Salt to taste
Italian parsley, chopped fine
Mash the avocados in a bowl with a fork until slightly lumpy. Stir in the lime juice, tomato, cilantro, red onion and garlic. Add the hot sauce, cumin, salt and sugar. Mix well. Sample and add more seasonings if desired.
Cover the bowl and chill or let stand at room temperature for one hour to allow the flavors to blend.
